Carbonite - Offsite backup
Visit the website>>> Online Backup
I waited until I had used this for a while before saying anything. I KNOW I should do back-ups but of course never get around to doing it. Having live through 2 crashes, the last being June 17, 2007 and having to almost completely start over, I finally decided I could not afford to not do it. So I tried the Carbonite Free-Trial. Took a while to overcome my firewall problem - they told me what to do, just took me a while - and because I am dial-up, it took a long time to get the complete back-up (does not do the external drive) but ever since that was completed, when I make a change, add/delete files, etc it automatically does the back-up. I do not have to tell it fo fetch. Since this is offsite, I also do not have to worry about the back-up getting destroyed in case of flood or other unmentionable happening here.
If anyone wants to try it, let me know so I can put you on a friends list (I will get a free month) but I am NOT putting any names in their system unless requested to do so. I signed up for 2 years so it is not a big deal for me one way or the other. Just wanted to let you know I tried it and liked it.
