Before they bought and began to renovate the High Mountain Lodge, Julie and Tom Beckwith most recently worked in the non-profit sector, Julie as a membership services director, and Tom as an editor.
Julie has a background in marketing and customer relations, while Tom has been a journalist; magazine, newspaper, and book publisher; graphic designer; web designer; and musician.
For recreation, the couple like to ski, hike, snowshoe, and bicycle. Tom is a keyboard and bass player, while Julie is a passionate horsewoman who recently acquired a horse to install in the pasture below the lodge.
Julie is generally the contact person when potential guests telephone the High Mountain Lodge. The couple both like to cook. Tom generally takes the breakfast shift, while Julie plans the menus for the simple suppers served during ski season.
