We just charge a fee if they lost them. Never had someone not return them if they accidentally took them. Sometimes it would take days to get them back, but that was never an issue.
If the aggravation is no longer worth it.... Res Nexus is a beautiful set-up and this type of issue does not happen with their system. Again, if you #1 consideration is price, Res Key is the answer. If you want the system to work they way you would want it to work - there are better options...

If you are going to change reservation systems, be sure to check out Reservation Nexus. I have used them for 6 years and have still not seen anything come close to it in terms of quality appearance and ease of use. Definitely beats my previous experience using Rezovation.
