    Difficult dietary needs

Anyone who follows that kind of regimen at home knows that it's difficult to source and expensive to pay for......as well as highly unlikely to find at a restaurant who doesn't already specialize in that type of food sourcing already. As someone who more or less tries to eat like that at...

    any word from Joe?

....which means as of yet, they haven't gotten enough entries. No other reason to extend.

    GF, soy free, vegan

Some organic things taste better than regular, and vice versa. Have some health issues in the family so I do buy best quality/least processed options for home. If I'm not eating at home, I just enjoy what is available. Makes it easier to not have to sweat it.

    New presentation was a hit

It is versatile. I used to make them all the time when I was lowcarbing for easy breakfasts, and still make them from time to time. My other favorites were "Greek" - with sliced olives, feta that has herbs in it already, and chopped sun dried tomatoes....crumbled sausage (browned, drained) with...

    New presentation was a hit

The slice of tomato on top is really pretty plus it gets that lovely roasted tomato taste to it when baked. They're also pretty with snipped herbs on top. They're also really nice if you line the muffin pan (after you've given it a shot of cooking spray) with a single slice of prosicutto...

    New presentation was a hit

I do one with parmesan, provolone, asiago and romano cheeses mixed in with a bit of oregano and garlic (sometimes some spinach or arugula as well). Slice of tomato on top and a sprinkle more of parmesan and oregano.

    Luray?

If you like German food, Edelweiss Restaurant is worth a visit in that area.

Dietary needs vs. Food Preference ?

Nuts are full of protein. You could also do oatmeal with almond/soy milk. But if someone has a very limited diet, they are going to have limited choices. You can't get around that.

    Sweet Biscuits & Gravy

Sweet potato biscuit. Turkey-sage sausage. Cranberry-apple compote. I may have to play around with that idea....sounds like it has a lot of possibilities.

    Hot breakfast buffet

You can do mini-quiches (no crust) in a muffin pan. They are very versatile with fillings, easy to make, and keep on a warmer well - better than scrambled eggs, IMHO.

I'm going to guess most vegans aren't even aware of this.

    Pancakes

The best pancakes I have ever had are sour cream based...it gives them a really decadent richness. Whisk together in a bowl: 1 cup AP flour + 1 tablespoon sugar + 1 teaspoon baking soda + pinch salt In a separate bowl (or measuring cup), whisk together 1 egg, 1/2 cup sour cream, 1/2 cup...

    TV or no TV?

I would never be able to get my husband to stay anywhere without a TV....and while he could work around no wifi, he'd definitely chose a place with rather than without if it's an option. Me? I don't mind the quiet time without it....for maybe a night or two. After that, I need to know what's...

Is your place nice? Is the room comfortable?

"Yes, but will I feel my husband move in the bed. (Oiy!) (How the heck should I know lady!!)" Makes my SA side want to say "How would I know unless I was sleeping with your husband?"
