Yhea, I've said that for years. Then I saw on tv someone did it. I might have been a millionaire! lol

Lawn Tonic to turn grass green again

With 55% of the country in a moderate to severe drought, I thought I'd post this. Our local tv has shown it on the news for several years but never actually posted the formula until now..... So here goes: The hot, dry weather is painting Western New York lawns brown. 2 On Your Side's Heather Ly...

Changing the title to this thread to be about movies filmed in your area

Ah, yes I see it now. Guess I was just anxious to see the trailer. Besides I tend not to read everything because there are too many words where ever you go. Like that old song "Signs, signs, everywhere signs", lol Then when I do start reading, I normally cringe at the misspelling of words...

    Flowers in the winter

I love orchids too. You're absolutely correct, the flowers can last a month or more. I "had" some lovely large flowered ones I purchased in Hawaii. I say "had" because my DDaughter brought her cats here and well.......things have never been the same. Need I say more?

Rosemary Sea Salt Pretzels with Rosemary Cheddar Cheese Sauce

Funny thing, I like the show "Undercover Boss". There latest show had the chain "Philly Pretzel Factory" on. Guess they eat more pretzels there per capita than anywhere else. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks, etc. Never knew there was a National Day. Great receipe.

Bluetooth Saves Electricity... I wish I could do this!

As an electrician by trade (journeyman) and having worked for a place that manufactured heating/ac units (okay, for cars) this is not what I believe to be economical. Cons: First, you have to be carrying a bluetooth device. Myself, I don't carry my cell as an additional appendage so I am SOL...

    Flowers in the winter

Forced bulbs due in fact come back. Maybe not so well if you just put them in water with the decorative stones but you could add a liquid plant food to the water. Really takes very little time. The most time would be taken to allow the bulbs to finish flowering and die back. Then they could be...

    Flowers in the winter

I will attempt to add a link as to how easy it is to force spring bulbs in the winter. Even if guests are few and far between the flowers last a considerable length of time. I know because I have done this for myself. Here goes Forcing Bulbs Indoors...

    Flowers in the winter

Had a hard time to figure out what title this should go under as it fit 2. So here goes: I have read several times about flowers in the room especially during the winter. I had thought of this before but had forgotten until all my daffodils and narcisuss (sp?) started popping up. Some I will...

    LLC, Inc. Ltd...just do it!

My son is what I guess you'd call an accountant. He is really sharp for such a tender age. He mentioned all of this S Corp, etc. to me. I looked up what I could on the internet to save attorney fees. I know it's not the best info compared to an attorney. My problem is I AM a sole proprietor...

    Adding on to your home

I know some local mason's I've known for years who are out of work right now due to the economy. Maybe I should send them your way! My friend hired a contractor who put in a double wide driveway that pitched to the road about 120 ft long and I believe 8 in. of crushed stone. He told me it cost...

    Got Bacon?

Sorry, just read your post. The GF would definetely be much faster than baking if it all works out well. I'm just not familiar with them and don't know how much they close. Anyways, worth a shot. After all, time is precious.

    Got Bacon?

I think you must have the countertop model. I used to have a GF indoor/outdoor grill that either stood on a pedestal or you could bring it inside. I disliked it and gave it to my daughter who lives in a city apartment where a gas or charcoal grill is not allowed. Myself, I prefer charcoal to...

    Got Bacon?

I tried making these using my panni press because I don't have a bacon press. I put the lid down near to the closed position and the held shape beautifully. Unfortunately, my camera is misplaced so I couldn't take a photo. Just another idea on how to make them without a bacon press. You have...

    Allergies to detergents

I thought I would throw this question out there because I could not find anything related to it. My ex was allergic to certain laundry detergents or fabric softeners. I just wondered if anyone has run across this and if so how did you handle it. Do you ask when taking the reservation or just...

Sheet advice (for those of you who use sheets)

You may want to check these websites: http://www.midnightbox.com (Not the greatest IMO) http://www.justdeals.com (Can vary from kitchenwares to tools. I bought a Rockwell Thickness Planer from them for $100. less than Amazon. Shipping was minimal, I think $5.) http://www.bradsdeals.com (they...
