Have you ever asked guests to leave your B&B/inn?

Only once did I eject guests. They arrived, he was smoking in the room. I told him he couldn't. His wife said he had to and so I got my phone, phoned a hotel who could take them, removed their luggage from the house and they left. Fortunately it was within the first hour of their stay.

How do you answer weather questions?

I always used to say "I'm not God so have no idea what it's going to do and besides - there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing." Then I'd laugh. I never accepted a cancellation due to bad weather but can't remember anyone actually wanting to cancel because of bad weather and...

Yes I agree that you need to say what the bathroom facilities are. I assume that if it doesn't say 'ensuite' or private then the bathrooms are shared but others may NOT assume that.

I like your website and your prices are very low for what you're offering aren't they? One question - does only one room have an ensuite?

    Too Much Vitamin D3

The new standard for vit D3 is 2000 IU a day and if you are dark skinned you may need even more. If you are out in the sunshine you can lower it.

    Eyesore or Environmentally sound?

Go for it!!! In some countries you see sheets hanging outside in small hotels even. Some countries NEVER use dryers.

What are the legal requirements regarding foreign guests visiting the USA?

Canada and the USA certainly don't require that accommodation operators look at a passport or anything else for that matter. Most of my guests were from overseas. Some countries are required by their laws to ask for a passport for their police. I've had to give my passport over quite often when...

Something you used to do and now don't?

Well, it will be interesting to see how the 18 yr old 'boss of me' adapts to whatever we try out on him.

No, he goes outside. We won't be able to let him out in the city. Vancouver has a very big coyote problem and it's just not safe for him. Well, we hope he'll adapt or maybe I can have a big dog cage that could go outside so he could lay in the sun. That's about all he does is lay about but he...

Something you used to do and now don't?

Thank-you all for your good wishes! I am certainly 'up' for something new as is my husband. If I were a little younger I might even consider Khartoum for a bit. Well ... one never knows! My dear Gino is 18 and may have a few good years left. He's only lived here so I know it will be a big...
