Welcome Kaulbach House and your website

That's a great idea to focus a lot on what's going on. Most travelers are not there for the accommodations although, it does totally add to the experience 100%. You might also if you have not already, post weekly "What's On" on your Facebook page and "tag" those events to get more exposure.

    Feedback please

Hi Kaulbachhouse, It is looking pretty good. Here is my two cents worth: 1. Put the below section in each of the pop-up windows for the rooms. I completely missed this and had I not been scrolling to give feedback would not have seen it. Facilities Air Conditioning. Alarm Clock Ensuite Shower...

    Question about Pinterest

Hi Morticia, If someone has a Pinterest page and is on a website and they decide to pin a photo they like on their Pinterest board it will save the URL of whatever site they found the photo on. The only way to keep that from happening is to remove the photo from whatever website they found it...

Do you have a motto? Do you have a logo?

If you do have a logo and a motto, make sure you put it on the blog and on your website, because that is pretty much where people are looking for you. If that Motto personifies your business then make sure it the first thing they see. For most Inn's I would think that the Logo would say it all...

Do you eat with your guests?

I was just thinking about that the other day. It really disturbs me when waiters just plop down at my table as if we were old friends. As for eating with guests, I think for the most part no, unless of course they ask you to join them and you have time why not.

    Towel Origami

Google towel orgami in google images, there are some really clever ones. Lots of books on it too. When I stayed at Swept Away in Jamaica, they made swans of the towels and sprikled petals all over them.

    What Do You Think?

One of the reasons you are probably so high ranking in the reviews is because you obviously care about your business and customer service. You also have very strong intution and that is great. If you have made your policy clear and have communicated to the best of your ability with a prospective...

    Obvious observations from the oblivious

That was well put Wendy! You do have to keep that in the front of your door; the reason why you do what you do. Hopefully for most it is because they love it. Even if there are a milion other things to do, when that stranger/guest is in your presense, it is all you have to do and all you should...

Don't rain on my parade, but

Yes, it was a great time. It was three years ago, not a day has gone by since then that I do not think of Italy! We rented it for a week, but they had breakfast in their main house everyday, it was really lovely.

    The Second B

From a guest point of view, if you call yourself a B&B, I would expect breakfast to be included. If I was staying at an "Inn" then I would think it would be a nice touch but would not expect it.

Don't rain on my parade, but

Hi, I think that is an awesome idea. I spent a month in Italy traveling with my teenage daughter. We stayed at a Tuscan Villa that was owned by a British couple. Here is their website. http://www.villaditoscana.com/ The fact that they were not Italian did not offend or lessen the experience at...
