Tuesday was an extremely busy day here. I want to thank Innkeep for one of the bright spotsd in it.
Justa few things to take care of that day. Remove money from my bank to replace what my brother's bank took out for my currency exchange, then go to his baank to replace amoney and pick up the currency for my trip (rate of exchange was what I considered the best it would be).
I had planned to go to the Courthouse to do research for a lady in Czech Republic about her grandfather, but realized it was closed for West Virginia's Birthday.
Went to travel agency to see what we can do about the first leg of my trip. The puddle-jumper airline out of a local airport where I can park my car for free for the month announced they are moving service from Dulles to BWI as of July 31 - I leave Sept 6, from Dulles. No total solution yet, but have several contingency plans in the works.
then I went to my jelly supplier to restock - I was down to 1 jar! While there I got a call from a lady who asked if I had availability for her - she wa at a traffic light on a motorcycle. I said I did and she said she would call when she got closer and I said fine, which room and she said the big one.
I then had to stop aat the grocery to buy the ice cream for the Birthday Party at the Museum (Woman's Club did ice cream & Museum did the cake). West Virginia's Birthday is a big deal in West Virginia. I stayed to help a while and left to get ready for the guest and would go buy another carton of the ZIce cream everyone was choosing. On the way home (2 blocks) the car felt funny. Yep, pull in the driveway and I have a flat tire. I get out the toy tire and jack. Lossen th lug nut and feel under for a solid metal to put the jack on. Jack it up, finally muscle the flat off the car, and as I tried to line up the holes of the toy tire, the jack fell over. NOW I have the nose of the car on the driveway. So I called a service station in town. They came over, got the car up, and took the tire to see if it could be repaired (knowing thaat station, I knew it was going to be a "cannot repair"). Oh, Tuesday is also Band Rehearsal night.
Lady calls back and I get cc# and name. Tell her I will be at band rehearsal, door open and which room is hers. She is cool with that as she is also in a Community Band.
I am no longer playing bari sax - I now play tom-tom (3 drums with different tones), gong, shaker, triangle, and wind chimes. Because we were short percussion players Tuesday, I also (for the first time stepped in to play suspended cymbls and crash cymbal (those things are HEAVY). Got home, guest there and invited her to join the flute player and me at the unlit fire pit for a glass of wine (jelly place now doing wines so had to try it).
Next morning as she was leaving, she told me she had changed her route because she had stayed with Innkeep who told her she needed to come stay with me. Thank you, Innkeep.
