That's a good one. With reasonable restrictions. We really only have 2 big holidays here where I wouldn't allow someone to stay for a deep discount so this is worth some thought.
We have been getting a ton of reservations with 'it's our anniversary!' in the notes. No one is adding on anything, but they're coming to celebrate anyway.

An off season special, might work. Stay two nights to get the rate though.

Won't work around here. Less than 50% of the population get marriage licences.

I think you would just have to take their word for it. I believe it or not, needed my high school diploma a few months ago, yeah good luck finding that, I have never been asked to produce it in all my life.

One of the few things that is damn easy to get around here. All you need is your permanent code, pay the fee and it pops out. Of course, who the heck wants to see how badly they did back in high school that long ago. I think I got an A+ in tablet writing, back in the days when tablet were written with chisels :D

Around here, a lot of people don't even bother to get married. I guess we could come up with a "Shacking Up" Special.

Well for those who honor the institution of marriage and holy matrimony and stay married, I salute them and think this is a great anniversary special. I shake the hands heartily of anyone who stays the course, who commits themselves for the long run. Good on ya!

DW and I have been together 30 years +. I'd shake your hand, but I don't have the energy.

Sure, what do I do I check for how long they have been doing it? Trust, the children plus DNA test? Tax forms? :)

We are working on #38. We had to get the rough edges sanded off during the first try before we were going to be ready to tolerate each other. (His died, mine faded away)

We got married to each other and the business at the same time and we're into our 12th year of partnership. I swear, sometimes I think it's death do us part on both the marriage AND the business!

DH was close to death an hour ago! He was and is OK with the B & B (has even said he will miss the guests if we close) AS LONG AS HE GETS WHAT HE WANTS WHEN HE WANTS!!!
Geting tired to placating the baby. HE wanted to go to lunch (spaghetti night) because the early shift waitress makes him a better salad. He not only knew we had a horse guest coming (needs escort to stable) but also knew he was 100 miles away (with 4-lane that dows not take long). So the man calls and DH is not finished eating because he had to do to much talking and DH is upset with me because I am pushing him to leave 10 minutes after the call (fom 24 miles away). I still had to drop DH off at the house because he refused to ride along. Beat my guest to the meeting point by about 3 minutes. Too close! Thank you for listening. I feel beter now - and he will live another day.
And with manipulators it is easier to just give them what they want because you end up in the wrong no matter what - and a knock-down dragout is not possible with guests in-house (as if it wuld help!).

This is relavent to that other thread also...the one about "Is it worth it?" Sometimes it's just not worth going out of the house. Too many variables.
Glad you made it there in time and he's still alive and kicking (and screaming).

He was just feeling neglected. He said my life is geting so it does not include him. He is now repentent. I think he thought about it a bit more. HE always disappeared into his workshop and now is at his drawing board - I did not/do not fit into either. Little boys do not like to be neglected when they decide it is time for companionship.
