You know how they make "bowls" for taco salads out of fried tortillas? (Well, maybe you don't but Proud Texan will know.)
When our family owned a restaurant in the 90's, my sister was always talking about making a cornbread bowl to serve beans in. She never got around to making one, but she had something figured out, involving clay flower pots.
Yeah they have the bread bowls, they have had those for yonks, my first recollection being san francisco clam chowder on the pier in sour dough.
