Creating WOW Product Experiences

Another great article by Michael Hyatt. Worth thinking about...
Family here a couple of weeks ago told me their mom was celebrating her 90th b'day so we bought the cake and put it in her room. They were quite tickled. This article really moved me. It is something I am trying to always get across to bloggers, stop posting "program announcements" and share experiences! We are in the people business.
I do social media marketing for our state parks, from the article above I put this together. I get paid for it, and needed something to write about, so it was timely! You will want to read the park goers comments I included in the article, down to the last one, it really left a lump in my throat. For most of the park staff it is a job just like our B&B's are a job. We lose sight of how important the experiences are that we can help create.
(I mention this as our park marketing specialists are supposed to blog and it is rarely from the heart, always just "do this or do that" we have eNews for that sort of thing, or the events database.
When was your last WOW moment?.
Good one JB. It's so easy for us as innkeepers to get bogged down in the everyday (especially during busy seasons), that we forget that our guests should/could/do experience a 'wow' moment or two, whether it's at our inn or our area.
Yesterday, I know a wow moment happened for 1 couple here. We had Brits who live in a big city enjoying eating their breakfast on their deck and along came 2 deer and their 3 fawns. The deer that make their home on our property are not afraid of people. The guests were able to get very close to the deer family. It was definitely a WOW moment for them as they took picture after picture up close and personal.
Sometimes WOW moments happen when you least expect it. Their happiness gave me happiness...it doesn't get much better than that!.
