Yes. The card expires when it expires, and the guest can only go with what is in hand. It's good until it expires, and the CC company will reissue just before that. I just got one that is coming in April 30 for 2 nights. The CC expires May 1, would you just wait till they are here to ask for the CC? I did run it for the 1st night , that is our policy for the deposit..
Same problem I came across, I guess the point for us is we require a valid credit card for the reservation, so we will have to believe the new cc will be in hand by check in.
