a guest inquiry came in the other day. it was just on the right side of sounding ok, but a few degrees the other way and i would have said it was spam. my reply back was simply how to look up the calendar on the website. next morning there was an online bookign from the guest for sometime in oct. surprised, but thaat's ok. today i am emptying the spam folder and there are three more emails from the same person all with *test* in the subject line nothing in the bosy of the email. i don't understand why they are all of a sudden being labeled as spam because it is the same email address as befoe and that came in ok. no that's not right. the original email came in from bedandbreakast.com. now i'm wondering if the reservation is any good. they also ordered an add on package as well as the room for 4 nights.

Hmmm probably going to hit you up for a "refund" in a couple of days. Whatever you do, only issue the refund to that card...don't send a check and don't refund to a different card (that's a pretty common scam).

Good Lord, I hope the scammers don't get so bold as to start actually reserving online...just what we don't need to have to deal with.

I have 2 e-mail accounts. One of my daughters has been using the second ons ll along and now I am finding her e-mails in suspected SPAM. I even added e-mail addresses in that accounts address file to try to fix it. Nope, she was in the SPAM file the next day. I have no clue hoe to get her out of SPAM other than checking it every day.

Not sure whether she is ending up in your email server's spam folder or the spam folder within your email client..but in most cases you can white-list or choose to allow that email address as not spam.

I have that problem with one of the innmates here...my email is labeled as spam in her email. Not all of them, just some of them. Sometimes I am 'Spam-low' and sometimes 'Spam-high'.

found out why all of the *test* emails. the guest never received the confirmation and was trying to send an email to us. do not know why they are all spam. guest called today from overseas to verify receipt of the reservation and to find out the temp here during their vacation time. the accent didn't sound like a nigerian prince.

Sometimes I get mail that is flagged as spam but I figure it's just that there are many email going out from that address - people requesting multiple accommodations (here they might email 10 people for the same dates).

Does this happen with your daughter's email address in your address book? Sometimes this is all that is needed to keep someone out of your spam folder. I think most email programs will check to see if the sender's address is in your address book then, if it's not, will use whatever algorithms it uses to decide if it's spam or not.
Also, if your daughter's name is Viagra, that might explain it. My uncle Penis Enlargement gets kicked out everytime.
