The article mentions that these were physically swiped cards. Do you know if the hack was of the CC processor, or if it was being processed through the hotel's computer system?

It is all sorts of businesses that are vunerable in the UK TKMAX which is a huge high street clothes chane had their comp hacked and thousand and thousands of credit card numbers were stolen. I remember years ago my god mother had one of her receipt books stolen with about 100 credit card numbers in it. The guest had checked in with her for the purpose and then took them from where she locked them up and then went out on the internet.
