Had Grammy Award Winner, Bill Mize and his wife Beth, stay here last night!
He won the Winfield national Fingerstyle Championship. He has licensed music for several documentaries, film and audio projects. Most recently, his music was featured in the PBS 09 Ken Burns production "The National Parks: America's Best Idea". He is a sought after performer and clinician, playing nationally at festivals and concerts such as the Montreal Jazz Festival's Guitar Weekend, and the Healdsburg Guitar Festival.
They were SUPER Nice! He gave me 2 of his CD's! They are beautiful to listen to!

How wonderful! A guitarist from Trans-Siberian Orchestra stayed here 3 times, but he did not leave a CD. Darn it!!

I love meeting interesting folks...who might also happen to be stellar in their field.
Congrats on having cool guests!

It's always exciting to have guests with a talent and even better when they leave a little something behind to remind you of their stay!
We once had an Olympic highjumper stay with us. I never saw him standing because DH does check in and I always make an appearance at breakfast. Gee, he seemed kinda short to me when he was sitting at the table. I wondered how he could be so successful getting over that high bar. On his last morning at breakfast he got up to leave and I just about fell over....he looked like a grasshopper unfolding! He had legs as high as my shoulders....we still laugh over the surprise.
