Didn't you like the one where she states "Some people love it here and others don't. some people are just not very happy people. I feel very badly for these people and hope life gets better for them." When I read that I truly have to laugh though. I'm sure those things are though but should you really put it out there for future guests to read?!?

I've been looking for a b&b in Savannah and I found this one, judging by the review responses I think I will shy away from this one!

I clicked to remove the link so hopefully that worked, if not let me know how to fix it, copy and paste to see it..

Totally off topic - I emailed an inquiry June 9 at 12:43pm and just got a reply TODAY June 25th. 16 days later! I asked about the date of June 12th (that coming weekend) I am told in the email there is space July 6 and 7th. hm. Not all innkeepers are normal, efficient or s/b running a bed and breakfast!

That was an interesting read. Thanks for that.
I also noticed that when I booked my vacation last year to Costa Rica. I stayed in a resort by the Arenal Volcano that offered every amenity and glowing reviews. Upon arrival, the restaurant was closed, the jacuzzi didn't work, the accommodations smelled of mildew and we had a bat in the room. Of course, there was no one available to assist us until the following morning.

I've always thought I would like to just say what I really think in a management response, TA advice notwithstanding. Maybe your input is a reason why I shouldn't.

WORSE than street noise is being out in the country with one lone dog barking at night. Continuous noise is much better than random noise imo. You can't win for fighting. Some guests do not like it when it is too quiet. To each is own....

We pride ourselves on being in a quiet location mostly due to all the other accommodations being right at the Interstate. I will never forget one complaint at the breakfast table (no TA review TG) "those crickets sure are loud...I thought it was quiet here!"

Quit to some is not quiet to others I'm affraid.

Those are probably the guests who would not hear a siren, train, or an airplane on its glidepath into the airport. Crickets and birds are noisey!

Made his way out, probably the same route he took to get in. Big fellow too.
That first night was a little uncomfortable, but he stayed away for the rest of the trip so it went uphill from there. Not a good first impression tho.

I stayed at Arenal Lodge. Loved it esp the howler monkeys.
I saw they have this way way fantastic resort/casino there now where my Aunt and Uncle stayed. This couldn't have been the same place, I can't imagine mildew there yet..but I sure would like to visit it! http://www.thespringscostarica.com/costa_rica_hotels_arenal_intro_springs.html
