My son sent me a photo from Finland yesterday and upon questioning provided this explanation.
Yedda in Swedish, and Pike in English. It turned out to be 6 Kilo.. I think thats around 13 lbs.
I got it from my front yard! I had my neighbor showing me the ropes the first couple times through dressing the fish.. laying the nets.. cleaning the nets.. and that morning, I felt confident enough to clean it myself and give it to him for the lessons.
Their house is on the Baltic Sea. They have fishing rights on the waters at their house. This means no one else can fish there. They called from New York today. when they got back in the USA.
