Our menu offers toast as an alternative to our chef’s choice of the day. With a choice, white, wheat or raisin. Then butter, jelly or peanut butter.

This morning, as I saw a guest requested raisin bread, I suddenly remembered we were out and had decided not to buy more as the season is winding down. But I’d forgotten to delete it from the menu.

No worries! We have French toast bread and we have raisins. I poked holes in a couple pieces of French toast bread (the kind with cinnamon swirls in the bread) using a lobster cracker and we inserted raisin into the holes. I don’t know if he was fooled, but I do know he ate every bite!
