Awful morning of cleaning. Felt like we did the whole house and it was only 3 rooms. A mess in each one. Then I checked the incoming guest list and realized a guest who grates awfully on me is arriving today. Can I have a drink now?

Sure, if you feel you MUST limit it to "a" drink.
BTW, mimosas were invented for Sundays like this, dontcha think?

Totally forgot the bottle of champers in the fridge. Oh, thank you for reminding me!

haha. i'd be dozing instead of getting my work done.
hot cuppa tea (actaully, a whole teapot full) with feet up works better for me if i can't just nap after the drink.

we used to have an off liscence that opened at 7am at the end of the car park! lol But I find the best solution is to put some rousing music on (Bonjovi greatest hits is on at the moment) and dance about and sing loudly and badly at the top of your lungs.

God invented Bloody Mary's and Bailey's for a reason...take the edge off and both you and your guests will end up happier!
