Earlier today I wrote in another subject about a group that we call:
The Princes and Princesses - Gen Y ers who really belong at the W hotel, until on their own they realized they can't afford the W hotel and decide to stay at a B&B as a cheaper alternative. They need 3 or 4 bath towels, each. Never reuse them. Don't care about the environment. Leave empty plastic bottles around. And fill the trash with the name brand merchandise that they bought because if they don't have a brand name, they wouldn't have a personal identity.
So, I ask you... tell us about a group that you frequently have calling on your B&B and what you call them. Maybe we can make an interesting list! Or maybe add or change my group until we have them perfectly described.

Oddly, we have a glossary on here with stuff like that. One of them is the Princess and the Pea. The ones who find fault with the tiniest things.

...and we have their parents, the Kings and Queens, who constantly miss each and every wastebasket and are too rich, proud, important, lazy, fat, to reach down and actually pick up the dirty tissue, candy wrapper, Q-tip, toilet paper roll, etc, and put it in the wastebasket. Don't they realize, I KNOW WHO THEY ARE??? Makes me constantly wonder what they are like at home.

Yes, we know who they are. And it doesn't matter. That bothers me in a way that an unmade bed never will. Because it's trash and they're too (all the things you said) to pick it up. Loose change makes me wild, too. You couldn't pick that up? You left it for who? The sweeper?
I could probably go on vacation with the spare change I've found on the floors.

Not so much groups as individuals I have found here. I can't really classify any group as anything. Our Gen Y have been great, we have honeymooners here in this age bracket quite often. I don't want to stereotype anyone.

We used to have a group we called the Penny Tossers, but I guess they have found a new place to stay. You would go into the room and they would have filled a table or the top of the dresser with copper pennies. Maybe $1 or $2 worth of pennies. Not a nickel, dime, quarter, loonie or toonie in the bunch, just pennies. Every day they would come back and put more pennies on the dresser. And on the day they left, they would leave them all there.

I'm not talking about all Gen Yers... heck, I'm a Gen Yer. I'm just saying that the Prince and Princess are almost always from Gen Y. Not a stereotype of Gen Y at all.

We call them the "It's Raining!" group and say it in the whiniest voice possible. The people who need all ideal conditions plus a personal hand-held escort to go DO something! Easily bored, not really interested/impressed by anything in the area, and usually "done" with everything half a day before they're due to checkout, so they just sit here looking miserable.
A subset of this is the "Where's the Next Free Thing?" group who talk about wanting to do things and then just clearly don't want to spend money on anything. They also sit here all day, stalk us until we put the cookies out, use every amenity we put out and ask for more, etc.

My neighbour vacs every room every day (i do for changes not for services unless they are in for more than 4 days) and this woman left dirty knickers on the floor every day. Tabs was worried about hovering them up! said I would have left a note saying didn't want to touch your belongings so didn't do the room. crap like that aint my job. Trouble is a lot of people have cleaners so are used to them picking up after them. many moons ago I had a cleaner but would never have left things like that for her (she did the kitchen, bathroom and ironing) I miss her as have never seen anyone iron so fast!

We had a couple stay here a few times who live in a hotel. Someone always cleans up after them, everyday. It showed. Hoo boy.

Been busy so I am late in this. My guests fall into 3 categories - Nice, Nicer, and Nicest. Even though they are in one of the previous three, we do refer to those with horsess as Horse so DH knows I will be guiding them in. Our exceptions are called Super Nice.

You know, this positive attitude crap has got to stop. ;) Glad your guests are wonderful!

The advantage of being off the path, lower occupancy but nicer guests. Besides, there is so much lemon flowing that I thought some sweetener would help make the lemonade.
