The house we are hoping to buy has a ring device. How do we turn it off? The sellers have already moved out and we don't know if they are available to help with this. We're pretty boring people but we still don't need the sellers keeping an eye on us. ;-)

You can put this in your purchase and sale document. As an addendum, the ring doorbell devise will be removed or disconnected before closing.

Won't work without WiFi so once you get your internet service it would have to be reset.

Take the battery out or change wifi. It is then controlled by an app on your phone and you can customize settings, notifications, add chimes, motion sensitivity, etc... There is a cost associated with recording/archiving activity for, but viewing live is free through the app.

We didn’t think to do that.

We may have to go with the other options of having it reset when we change the account on the WiFi. Or, just taking the battery out and leaving the device as a deterrent.
