Guest calls a couple of days ago to book. Husband doesn't want anything fancy for breakfast. Because we know far enough in advance, no problem. Guest comes to breakfast this morning and has to tie shoes. Does he sit down and lean over? No. He puts his foot on another chair (not his own chair), ties shoe, repeats with other shoe. Am I the only one appalled by this?
Then, standing on the steps saying goodbye, he tells us the glass shelf in the bathroom 'just broke, I don't know how, I think it was broken already,' and away he goes.
Now we have to get a replacement glass that fits that particular shelf, but the shelf has to be taken down in order to get the new glass in. Which may mean patching & repainting a section of the wall if it doesn't come down gracefully.
