After spending the weekend with friends in Boston we spent Sunday relaxing and window shopping.
Saw this and fell head over heels in love with it. SO cool. Not going to get it - but I want it :)

Unlike many other things it was even better "in real life". Beautifully made - the upper doors opened like high end kitchen cabinets - slowly and securely.
They also had "chalk board" door knob hangers. Could be a lot of fun. I want those too.

Too cool. Could you imagine someone actually using a steamer trunk that big!!! The door knob hangers are a neat idea. Thanks for sharing. I hadn't been to this store in ages!!

Remember you can buy chalkboard paint at any craft store and make your own out of anything!

We hadn't either but we've always loved how they do things.

yes! i was thinking chalkboard paint on shingles!! easy enough to punch out a doorknob hole. very fun.
and i love that furniture. wow. $$$$$ but it's still okay to look. it's great to dream and maybe you'll get an idea of how to have a kinda/sorta thing.

OK, I want that trunk. I have no room for it, it really does need that loft, but I love it.

I would just like to have the real steamer trunks that we used when we traveled transatlantic in the '60s.

Yes, our house has a "Trunk Room" which the original owner used alot. He traveled with Charles Lindbergh. It's now a bathroom :)

I bought one of those at a yard sale many years ago for my son - complete with the hangers. He still has it too. I also bought - at a yard sale - an Army trunk or foot locker. I have material in it right now.
