I am new to this kind of social networking. I have been accused of "highjacking" - wondering what it means. Should I comment or reply to the comments left on a post I make?

It means someone changes the subject of the forum topic and the new topic becomes the focus of discussion.

We've been told more than once that we're worse than trying to herd cats! Focusing on one topic is kind of tough sometimes.

Speaking of cats, wasn't it awful about what happened in Ohio with the tigers and all.
(example of hijacking a topic)
