We do this with cubed bread instead of the muffins, and a 9x13 inch pan. It behaves really well, comes out nice every time and tastes good too.

I thought this was different. You can serve it up per person (for 4 obv it is limited for a group) and it won't look like a casserole as much.

The ingredients/amounts look the same but you are right, with the muffins it doesn't look as much like a casserole. And ME TOO....mmmm sour cream...
