JB - Disclaimer: Just because I post these doesn't mean I endorse them or agree with them in any way. I just wanted to clarify that up front, I give you guys enough common sense courtesy.
Some of them have some good tidbits of info or good conversation starters for the innmates here.

For me 2010 was a lot better than 2009. 2008 was my worst since 2006, but it was the second year my trail was broken. Even without the Thanksgiving dinner package - just the rooms booked - and being closed for 6 weeks, I am $40 ahead of last year!! Not bad I say! December will be the decider if it is better or even.

For us 2009 was our best year ever and 2010 was our worst. This year has been on a par with pre 2009 years.

As being alluded to in the article and posts here is not only the $ made but how hard you had to work for each $ made. For those of you that do not provide discounts, this would have little or no affect on your revenue, while those that sell lots of packages may see how that affects your revenue from one year to the next.
Looking at my averages for the last 5 years, 2010 was my worst year for both revenue and occ compared to other years, but the ave spent per guest was the best out of the 5 years. 2011 will be my worst with everything considered as I have worked substantually more to make what I have made. Sure hoping for better things to come in 2012!!!
