I can tell when guests have wandered around looking into rooms by their not so subtle footie prints all over my nicely vacuumed carpets. Those are rooms where the doors are wide open. I have them open during the day for light in the hallways and so guests can see what the rooms look like. I'd like it if they could just look from the doorway, but they don't seem to be able to do that.
Today we had a guest walk right into a room with a closed door. She just opened it and walked in. The room is all laid out for a birthday party for incoming guests, thus the closed door. When I approached the guest and asked if she needed help she merely waved her wine glass at me and said she was doing a tour of all the rooms.
I certainly hope the other guests locked their doors because a closed door did not stop her at all.
I went to close and lock the other rooms awaiting guests but I could see from the aforementioned footie prints that she'd already been on the prowl in the rest of the house.
When DH went out to get some mugs she had lost the wine glass and was just walking around with the bottle. Just ducky. No sign of her now.
