What has been very popular round here (I have not tried it myself but it seems to work well) are Bridge and Scrabble weekends off season. People go mad for it. There is also the possibility of fishing packages if your location lends to it. Golf is popular round here but they tend to be hard drinkers and while they spend a lot they are hard work. Anything connected to a hobby is good even better if you do it yourself. How about cooking? Or have people pay for a week's B&B training? I consider this now and again as there doesn't seem to be anyone running courses like this anywhere near me but I don't know if I could stand the company lol..

I am laughing as the one thing I suggest as I do the "50 cent tour" is a game of scrabble and for our British guests (I just checked in) I tell them sorry we can't play a match as they spell Harbor wrong and it will end up in a fight!

Scrabble weekends? How does that work?

I don't know all the in/out's of it but as far as I can tell you provide the location and sets of scrabble and they come and play solidly for a weekend. I think you have to organise who plays whom etc. I don't know about the US but there are specialist magazines you can advertise in and you can put it on your web site. If it is something you are interested in finding out about I would do a web search for B&B's and scrabble weekends and I am sure you will be able to find out anything you would like to know.
