I'm going to guess at some of them...
Total hits: because this number is higher than the number of pages viewed, it seems like your stats counter counts every link you have on your page as a 'hit'. (So, if your home page has links to other pages, each link gets counted as a hit on your total site.)
Total files: could be a similar stat to total hits. (Example- if you have files with recipes or directions attached to your site.)
Total pages: number of pages viewed
Total visits: number of viewers, distinct or otherwise. So 841 visitors looked at 1854 pages.
The section with codes seems to be saying that some of the pages the viewers tried to see were 'not found' (maybe an expired special that is still linked somewhere); 'permanently moved' (the name of a page changed?); 'forbidden' (something you have in a 'private' folder that used to be public and still has a link to it somewhere).
The unique sites and unique URL's seem to be places a link to your site shows up. So, referrers to your site. Altho that doesn't explain 'unique referrers'.
Is there a 'help' button anywhere on your stats page?

Maybe the links to your site that you have on every post here get counted in your stats? That could explain over 700 total unique sites.

Here's a site that explains them Compliments of SWIRT

Thanks for the links and insight - Now I'll need to read the links thoroughly so I can understand it.

Sorry just ran across this post while searching for something else. Not sure how I missed this one.
Total Hits - the number of all files + pages + incomplete requests that were requested by a person or bot
Total Files - the number of non-pages requested and delivered. (if someone browses to your home page (requests it) and the home page has two images on it, it will count as 3 hits, 2 as files, one as a page.) Some stats packages count pages as files too but yours does not seem to be making that distinction.
Total pages - The total number of pages (.html .php .cfm ...) that have been requested and served.
Total Visits - The number of sessions (usually measured in 15 or 30 minute intervals) What this means is that if I visit your site in the morning, then come back 10 minutes later, it only counts as one visit. But if I visit once in the morning, and then once in the evening, it would count as 2 visits.
Total Kbytes - the total file size of all the files delivered during the month (or whatever span of time the report covers)
Total unique Sites - this seems confusing because sites makes you think websites. But it really means locations (as in locations on a map.
Total unique urls - is the number of pages that that someone has clicked on a link and ended up on your site.
Total unique referrers - is the number of websites that people have followed a link to end up on your site. Example: if this site had three pages that linked to you and people followed those links you would have 3 unique urls but only one unique referrer.
Total unique user agents (aka total unique visitors) the number of computers used to visit your site. Example: if I visit your site on my laptop and then go to my deskptop and visit your site, that will count as two unique user agents.
The codes represent errors that your server returned. Mainly the one you want to check are the 404 errors. Those represent a request for a file that is not there. This might be an image that got moved, or a link to a page that no longer or never existed.

thanks for responding. the error codes is showing 375.... that's a lot... where do I begin to look for these?

thanks for responding. the error codes is showing 375.... that's a lot... where do I begin to look for these?.
There should be a list of the requests that lead to the 404 error code. (there are lots of variations of c-panel so I can't tell you exactly where to find it) That list will just be a bunch of things that look like files or address on your site. For example, if the has this as one item on the list
/images/toothbrush.jpg
it means that some page or pages are trying to show the toothbrush image, but that file is no longer in the images folder or no longer has that filename.
Some of the stuff in the list may not really have anything to do with your site at all. There are robots out there that look for pages like /search or search.htm and your site may not have or ever had a search page. If you find the list and can paste it in here I can probably pretty quickly tell you which ones need to be fixed and which ones can be ignored.

I am guessing these counts are pretty low because we are only looking at the stats for the first 2 days of Nov.
The first column shows what file was being called for, but not found, the second column indicates how many times it was not found, and the third column indicates what page was calling for the item.
So for example, your home page was calling for the image "tripadvisor.jpg" and it was not found 2 times.
If it only happened 2 tiems in a month, that may just be a server hicup, but if it happens several times a day, then it is a sign that the image is being called for a lot and not being found.
Many of these do look like actual problems (as opposed to false problems created by bots looking for things that were never there). The numbers are pretty low though making it hard to spot real problems. If you can, give it another week or so to get more data for Nov and then post the list. Then it will be real easy to spot the problems.

thanks for responding. the error codes is showing 375.... that's a lot... where do I begin to look for these?.
