What's the point of a TA review that mentions something the guest observed about a completely different room than the one they stayed in? If the guests in THAT room were ok, why bother to bring it up when it had ZERO impact on the reviewer's stay? And the guests in the other room had no problem either!

Some people are just critical and go looking for things to pick at. Not much to be done about it. It's like a marine drill sergeant. They'll ALWAYS find something wrong with your bunk if they want to. Some people just want to.

Some are just looking for a way to put negatives into a review without being dishonest about their own rather lovely accommodations. Early on we had guests who loved their suite but not the fact that they could not sit on our porch. So they complained about the steep stairs leading to the other suite. And, of course, they complained that they couldn't sit on our porch.
To my mind it comes across as nit picking and small.

It's strange, isn't it. It's as though they have to find something negative to say.
Someone recently put on our room feedback form "8.30 breakfast suited us fine, but other people might find it too late"......what?? So you're writing comments for other people who you'e never even met now!!!
Someone else recently wrote on the feedback form "It would be nice to have a suitcase stand "......she then had scrawled that out, obviously when she'd open the cupboard door and found the suitcase stand. She then wrote "there were no extra toilet rolls in the bathroom" which she had then scrawled out when she found the extra toilet rolls on the shelf next to the toilet. It was as though she was desperate to find something to critisice.
