What word or words have you picked up and now use in your innkeeping vernacular from this forum specifically?
I think one word I never used before was "Scathing" ie a scathing email, or they left a scathing review. Now I know it well.

We could put these all together for an innkeeper rap song (not me, but anyone who is funky and into rap!) ha ha

I read a lot of British books so most of Cambs' terms are somewhat familiar but I find I am using them now because I am reading them so often. I say 'brilliant' a lot more now even tho it has probably gone out of fashion in the UK by this time.

Had the flip and the fluff but added the ice. It's now a routine part of my vernacular. A flipped room still needs to be iced before a guest arrives.

"The Disgustingtons"
Stolen from Friends - something Ross called the couple in the next bed when Rachel was in hospital giving birth.
We use it between oursevles to refer to people who live like pigs, e.g.
"Urrrg. Who left THAT in their room?"
"The Disgustingtons in room X"
Often frequently adapted to "The Annoyingtons" etc.
It's quite versatile.
