Whine....
Got to bed at 1 this morning. Up at 5:45. Had breakfast ready then took the guests over to the log house (she was here to do genealogy) as expected. The phone rang and it was the landscaper wanting to meet me to see exactly where the Garden Club wants them to beautify. Set it up that I would call her when I finished at the log house. Just as I get back from the landscape thing, the kid shows up to do the yard (he is NOT allergic to poison ivy!) and I had expected him early. So as I am going to go show him what I need done, DH grabs my ear to tell me what to have the kid do - to HIS specifications - rather than just tell him himself. So I sit down at the computer and i hear my master's voice but have to get up to find out because he did not use the intercom, his door is closed, and I have my radio on - and it is something stupid he just had to say. OK, I sit down again and a man wlks up on the porch and knocks - the museum sent him over for me to take him and his wife to see the log house. I am still getting the kid from task to task and have been trying to go to the veggie store since 1 PM! I finally get everything out of the way and as I am thinking I have to wait until tomorrow to go veggie see that it is 4:15 and I can get there before 5.
Oh, and I had to take the laundry down and use the dryer so the kid could do the yard. 2 loads of laundry are done and now I can make yet another appointment with the dreaded ironing board because the guests - who I had told "if you need anything at all just let me know" took the pillows off another bed - the one I had ready for Monday so I get to get out the ironing board again unless I change the sheets. After I iron, I will go get the room finished for tomorrow so I can just work on the dinner tomorrow for 6:30 dinner tomorrow night (and sleep in to 8 maybe) . Sunday he wants to go to a BSA Owners meet so i hope they have a reasonably early breakfast Sunday and a late breakfast Monday. Himself has finally stated doing the dishes so now I cannot make my supper until he gets out of there - I am not in the mood to stumble around him. Thank goodness this is Friday - I get to go to bed tonight. Chapel isn't until tomorrow...
Thank you for letting me whine. I feel better now.

Nothing to whine about here! It's summer and I refuse to do anything other than run this place in the summer.

too much too much too much! kathleen, do you ever say no, sorry, can't do that today ..... you sound like my mom and one friend of mine. two speeds. RUSH and STOP.
take care of you!

John actually peeled the potatoes and put them on for me for my supper! He just told me the dryer stopped - so now I can go fold towels and get the table cloths drying. After I finish my potatoes I will get the 4 pillowcases ironed.
Also last night the man I relieve at Chapel brought me a 25 in TV w/VCR - his wife wanted the space for her sewing machine! So now I have to figure out where I can put it. Rosi's Room is about to get a TV again - as soon as I order the cable switched back to what it was originally.
In reality the "fun" starts tomorrow with guests w/dinner followed by Chapel. Sunday is breakfast, give them a routing, go up to the motorcycle meet, come home, breakfast Monday, flip room, escort some people with an RV to the stable, go to City Council meeting (my Monday horse guest is returning for the third time this year so does not need the escort), breakfast Tuesday, attend a marketing meeting Tuesday afterneen and then go to rehearsal for the concert Tuesday evening, flip Monday's room Wednesday and do laundry, and attend an activities committee meeting Wednesday evening. Absolutely cannot wait to see what else comes into next week.... Then I will have nothing for a few days again. It is never spaced out.
I would rather be worn out from activity though than from boredom.

You a whirling dervish, aren't you. SLOW DOWN before you burn yourself out.

Ahhh that will be the week of the 17th. Just band rehearsal that week until Friday - so far. At least the guests are coming finally. They seem to be either calling about a tonight, tomorrow night, or 2 weeks ahead. Not a lot of waaaaay in advance like I had this winter.
I have decided the cleaning can wait until morning. Ironing is done and so am I.

Makes sense to me... sounds like what dh would call a "high payoff day." Lots got done, not much wasted time, right?
=)

True. Every time I would sit down, DH would find something I should do, should take care of. Just a normal day for here.
