Speaking of renovations

Our real estate agent, who represented us when we bought the Inn (in Sept. 2013) stopped by yesterday to see the work. When she saw the kitchen she literally jumped up and down and screamed. The transformation is so amazing.
We had seen the change from idea to drawing to demo to dust and finaly finished (Saturday!!!!) So the transformation was gradual. To her is was a huge 'reveal.'
It was fun seeing it through her eyes.
And did I meantion, it is finished!!!!! We had champagne at our new breakfast bar on Saturday evening.

Never. The same day, my nephew sent us email plans for the 'new mudroom' we've been talking about. I don't think construction will ever end here.....but I have my kitchen and that helps!

Just go to MY ACCOUNT / FILE BROWSER. Upload the image you want to show. Then Open a message and click on the IMAGE icon and go to the file browser and pick the image to post.

trying to upload. taking forever. wonder if it's a firewall on my work computer.

It's probably because you are trying to load a huge file! Don't do that. You need to resize to a smaller one and compress it before you upload. No one will wait for a full high rez image to load.

Send it to me if you want and I can load it for you from my profile. Or post it on your FB page and share the link, or pinterest, G+ twitter or wherever you like.

We're in the final phases of our room renovation right now. The new shower and sink (with LED lit cascade tap) are in, the radiator in the bedroom is moved so it's not behind the bed head anymore, all this has been going on since Thursday.
We've spent all day today cleaning, painting and wallpapering. The carpet fitter arrives 9.30 tomorrow, he's doing the bathroom floor at the same time.
Then it's just a case of put all the furniture back, get some matching curtains (curtain rails too) and cushions, a few new pictures and it's all ready for guests.
Can't wait to see what it all looks like finished.

Oh My! That sounds fabulous. I don't think I could summon up the energy to redo a room right now. It sounds like you will be done in time to cash in on the spring travelers? Get those pictures out so we can see them.

My fence plans just went in the dumper. DH wants a new driveway. He says what we have now is a mudhole (wrong) and the new driveway will beautify the place - therefore it is a B & B expense (as is everything else). I told he he has to ante up half. But this in addition to the gas line work he insists is necessary puts the kabosh on the fence. He does not know I am replacing the spigot in the yard for a hose - dear daughter, my handyman is coming with a power washer to wash my siding and get the old paint of the porch to repaint it and needs a water source. So you are correct, it is never done. Now if my PR guy is the magician I think he is (I know he is for others but they are not the Born Loser) I will get lots of elopements and then CAN get my fence.

We just ordered 2 new garage doors for $$. I just hate spending a lot of money for things that guests won't even notice, but it's the kind of expense you get back once you sell.
It never ends.

I attempted to email two pictures to you yesterday and my email tells me they didn't go through. Sorry to be so lame with the pictures. If someone sends me an email address, I will send a before and after. It's a pretty awesome transformation.

Sorry, I suck at pictures. That is usually the husband's job. And hee hee.

Another innkeeper stopped by to say hello on Saturday and saw the new kitchen. Shortly after she left, we got a call from the PO wanting to come by and see it. LOL Small town word travels fast!
