The Lists We Keep In Our Heads...

As innkeepers you will get this, but anyone who isn't an innkeeper has no idea what I'm talking about or what that list in my head is all about.
The current list in my head....
A power bar with a long cord
An extra hair dryer, just in case
A bottle of moisturising cream, but in a bottle with a pump
Two new night tables, because I don't like the ones that I have and I can't keep them clean enough
A new mattress? Are they all fine or do I need to replace one?
Do I need new pillows? What size? Regular, Queen or maybe King? Do I have enough pillow protectors for them?
Do I need another box of bandages from the dollar store?
Are there enough shower caps?

Pillows? Check.
New king bed? Yes, in my head, too. Check.
Screen door? How to add one?
New windows? Double hung, not the ones we have.
Picture frames. Multiple sizes.
Paint the downstairs in our house.

new mattress...maybe two
extra hair dryer
replace lights on entry bush
paint cottage
add a second network
caulk skylight
get tree guy to see if we need to take down our favorite tree
replace spot light on cottage
fix leaks (2 of them)

Long term:
More pillow protectors (remember to chk am hotl register), build small basic website for new vacation rental (should be finished in another month), repainting will be needed in rooms and hallways this fall, need B and B logo hoodies, new carpet needed in living room also sofa and chair need re-upholstering.
For tomorrow:
oranges and OJ, bakery macaroons, water hanging baskets, bake bread, plug in hot water dispenser, half and half to guest fridges, print out bills, final room check.
the other shopping and cleaning all got done today. No guests tonight!

Surge protector strip with longer cord
new hose for yard
2 new padlocks - kind with long skinny bar (daughter lost the one for the shed and the carni is coming soon), need on for water hydrant in yard too
Look for new dispensers (latest new set were dropped by someone and leaked - son tried to seal with super glue, failed

New mulch for out front
Put several small furniture items on Craig$_List
Re-caulk around small room shower
Get car in for service
Take CLR to rust spots on washer
Need new de-humidifier
Deck needs to be restained
Catch up on accounting crap
Vegans this weekend
New towel rack for Med room
Geez...I could do this all night!

Pillow protectors - overstock. com. Buy in bulk. They come in packs of 10. Zippered. Easy wash. Hold up well.

Things still left to do... two tip envelopes, water, extra rug, move chair, lunch, find a cup holder, find a blue box for wipes, find a small basket for amenities, hair conditioner (I have a whole bunch but they are too thick, so I have to water them down or they won't work in the dispenser. You ever heard of something so silly as conditioner that was so damn thick it won't pump?) I will also need a small table put glassware.

Not much stays in my head these days. I have to write it down. I used to laugh at one of my older friends who used to write her lists on the palm of her hand. .. Not any more do I laugh.
In my head I just hope I can remember the appointments I write down on my calendar.

Bought shower caps at dollar store. 10 for a dollar.
Need to buy make up remover pads. Mine went dry in the pkg. I need some but! I can't seem to get them used up before drying up grrr.
Need to find more bedding. Having two sets of sheets is a lot of work. Darn they don't fit well on the ironing boards either. What have I got myself into !!!!!
