A family bought the Inn two doors down from us as a single family home (summer home). It has been an inn for generations. The people of the town are very sorry to see it go. They said they wanted a house with 10 bedrooms so the whole family could visit.
So, how do they mark their first weekend in a small town that already has a bad feeling about the turnover? With a graduation party! That went into the night.
I heard this story from 3 guests, a neighbor and my nephew.
At about 3 AM there was screaming to wake the neighborhood. One person was heard to yell something like, "I'm going into the pool!!" (There is no pool in the area, but there is a brand new, very expensive koi pond full of old, very valuable koi fish!)
Come morning, the street was littered with a street sign including post ripped out of the ground, a mailbox torn from it's post and OUR "no vacancy" sign ripped off of our sign post! And some beer cans and other debris.
Yeah, welcome to the neighborhood you clueless, classless, borderline criminal pitas.
