Little like the Y2K calamity they thought would bring down western civilization due to doomsday predictions of legacy code...I remember in 1985 I entered the info of a client of mine into my computer. He was born in 1895 but in those days database programs only took the last two digits of the year, so I put his birth year as 95. The program then printed his age as -10 on all his paperwork..

I remember about 1970. I was excited about the new calculators like the Bowmar Brain. But the best jingle was "Rockwell Calculators have big green numbers and little rubber feet!!!"Calculators. Our first one was huge. They taught us how to use an abacus in school..
