We just stayed at a beautiful urban inn and encountered many superb amenities. I really liked the way they provided beverages and snacks for the guests. The inn provided a 24 hour "hot" beverage cabinet in one location and a 24 hour "cold" beverage and snack cabinet in another. Three things: 1) These were great amenities just on their own, 2) it was a beautiful presentation, and 3) it was a smart idea because it encouraged guests to explore different common areas of the inn. The hot beverage area had the Keurig beverage maker and beverage fixings, and disposable thermal cups (which could be recycled and so those pesky guests didn't leave their beautiful Deneen mugs everywhere) but there was a sample pottery mug with a note that they were available for purchase. Also very smart! The cold beverage area included small cans of soda, one type of wine in the evening, a large refillable glass bottle with water, an ice bucket, the appropriate glassware, and several types of snacks (individual granola bars, and containers of popcorn and trail mix).
Several sweet treats were left out in covered glass domes on a buffet in the dining room to help yourself whenever. Again, drawing you to enjoy another common area, the screened porch off of the dining room.
Just so thoughtful....
