A couple of years back Madeleine asked the question, what would you do with $1000 to invest in something that you really don't need -- no repairs, nothing ordinary.
I thought ... bocce court! So I built one. I thought it might be cheaper than 1K, but the project grew to meet the challenge
And guests love it.
Right now we have a huge family group staying - all great folks - they spend hours and hours playing bocce. They stayed out last night until it was so dark you could not tell red balls from blue. Just now they are inside due to a thunderstorm. Moist but happy.
So I encourage you to take up the challenge, what might you do that really doesn't make sense financially, but might be fun?
