Hello everyone!
I was a member many years ago and even had wonderful website SEO suggestions made by Steve Wirt. Organic first page in 6 mths Thanks Steve !!!!!!!! Transferred text directly in to my new website never lost position. Even TA and the directories follow mine no need for adwords!
Nice to see so many familiar names still here!
Business has grown and grown. The property has been a guesthouse farm property since 1880. We reopened as a guesthouse in 2003.
Just to tell you about ourselves we now have built a further 2 cottages so now - 3 cottages x 3 bedroom, all self contained spaced well apart on the 25 acres.
Definitely have found our niche and have 100% bookings on weekends and school hols - about 75% (or more) midweek.
Had to do major restructure to work out 'why' people were coming, who and when they were coming - and now the business supports both of us full time. Also took us out of the equation and run it from behind the scenes.
We run the property host free, guests have the privacy of their cottages and their own parking area, house yard, their own BBQ and even their own chicken pen, replete with many chookies to lay their breakfast.

So definitely different to many of you as we are fully available to help guests, but stay behind the scenes now (we live across the road and up the hill on a private 2.5 acres}. Often we don't even meet the guests leaving the key in the letterbox.
Property has donkeys, mini horses, geese, ducks, chooks, sheep, alpacas, giant rabbits. A pretty rain forest creek, and nature trails in the second half of the property. We are located in a tourist town and next to a National Park.
We have had 2 young children, I have just written a recipe book and enjoy quilting patchwork quilts. Making jewellery too.
Animals are our passion not just our farmstay's drawcard. I breed and show exhibition rare and heritage listed ducks geese and chookies too!
My husband has a St Bernard called Bear, and I have a whippet named Billie. We have Burmese and Oriental cats too!
