    How to catch a thief?

Oh my - such a difficult situation. We have had exactly the same thing at our church when my husband was a caretaker. He to had keys to the area there fore was a possible suspect. Petty Cash money kept disappearing from the main office. Went on for 6 months until the administrator and head...

    Hotel Bonanza

I have heard back from Bonanza regarding commission rates. Following is their response "Hi Debbie and Bill, No, we are not expecting you to offer lower rates. We will be offering consumers a membership scheme that gives them 5% off every property on our site. However, this comes out of our...

    Hotel Bonanza

Received a blog link from them today and I am not sure where they are going with the 8%. The blog seemed to imply that the accommodation rates would be lower so that the consumer got a better deal, making the income same for me. I wrote the co-owner again, challenging her on this and giving the...

    Hotel Bonanza

Good morning all. Hotel B also contacted us here in the great white north. I had direct contact with the co-owner and it is an up and coming OTA. My hope is that all on OTA's will sign up with them and back off of the b$$king and X***pia sites. Perhaps this will cause a commission war. YEAH...

    Well this was a first...

In all of this I just keep thinking.... Oh to be young again! ;-) Your lucky they even made it to a bedroom! Might need to check any hallway planters or table drawers for more used condoms. Sorry you had such a hassle with it all.

Yes - both the "carver" and I went thru their list multiple times, trying to find acceptable menu items. We caught ourselves slacked-jawed more then once this morning, especially with the Bacon. The rest of the week is going to be "what you see is what you get", top-notch and all home-made of...

They suggested cooked rice, when I asked them. I am going to ask about 7 grain or cream-of-wheat. In their home area, there is no traditional type of breakfast. If you want roast beef, or soup, or salad, or fish with potatoes, rice etc., then that is what you prepare. Helps me to understand his...

Yes they asked and I told everything, eggs, milk, vanilla. Full disclosure at my table. They ate everything. Seeds, nuts, BACON, cooked Saskatoons, syrups, everything. Now tomorrow they asked for Waffles.... waffles? We are their first Canadian experience so I am thinking they thought the food...

Morning one done. They are a delightful couple, young and in love. Anxious to make life in a new country. I asked what they would like! Fresh bread and jam, so I made the bread last night, check. Side of rice, check. Black tea, check. Lots of fruit and yogurt, check. No processed fruit, just...

My fussy guests with the list of "off-limit" breakfast food, arrive tonight. If any one remembers the list of "off-llimit" foods has 100 things including; fats, borsch, fried fish, chicken, toast, "no" toasts, eggs, farm fresh meat, grains. No sausage, garlic, low-fat dairy products, mashed...

    No one understands

Shared Bath! We have two of them. We post it right out front on our websites and OTA's. Those that don't mind book in with us. Those that do 'bye-bye". Difference may be, we only have three rooms with a total of 5 guests, so two baths goes a long way. Whenever possible avoid 5 guests at one...

"When I retire the one thing I will not miss is..."

Yup - they book with an OTA and that is sometimes a hassle to cancel. I am going to go with it and serve chef's choice breakfast. They may be like the vegetarians who sit down with all everyone and then ask "where is MY bacon".

"When I retire the one thing I will not miss is..."

Good morning all: Our fussy fussy guests arrive at the end on September, they booked with a OTA so canceling them is an option but also a hassle. Hehe - I hesitate to ask in case I get another good sermon. It is going to be chef's choice.... I'll let you know when they are gone,
