The WO is a restoration of an 1880's Chesapeake Bay waterman's home in Tylerton, MD.
This three bedroom home has two guest rooms (one with private screened porch), parlor, kitchen/dining area and front reception area. It is one of the original watermen's homes in Tylerton. Additions (cafe and decks) were removed to bring the home back to it's original charm and footprint, now reflecting life as it was for many of the original Smith Island families. Many of the original details of the home are uncovered and restored along with furnishings of the time.
Restoration of the grounds include; regrading and local flowers that were once native to the area. One of Tylertons few native Loblolly pines stands about 25' along side the home and has been brought back to good health by mild pruning. A picket fenced patio for outdoor relaxation and table games.
We cater to the sportsman, fisherman and kayaker. A private deep water dock in the marina for guest use or they may use the town dock. Guests can rent a room or even the entire house during their stay.
