Honestly, I would rather look at the YOU avatar. Been reading Bully Pulpit and finally gave up on it..Doris K. G. really went to the depths of history from every angle and I can't get through it all. I am on to the new Sally Ride book now.Mine was also from Bitstrip. You can tweak every aspect of the look, to get it just right, and JB says it actually looked a lot like me, which is why I finally got tired of looking at it and replaced it with TR!.

My favorite is "The rise of Theodore Roosevelt by Edmund Morris". It's the story of the young Roosevelt, from birth and ends with the day he becomes President. Reads more like a good story without a lot of "depths of history".EmptyNest said:Been reading Bully Pulpit and finally gave up on it..Doris K. The sequel, "Theodore Rex" is just his time in the White House and what important things they did day by day. Boring compared to his amazing youth!

In accomplishments, Ted Jr outdid his Father, but did not have the flair and publicity Sr did.I've got to add this, since it's June 6, D-Day: On this date, 70 years ago, Theodore Roosevelt Jr. was the oldest man to land on Utah beach as part of the D-Day invasion. He died in France about a month later.

Outdid Theodore Roosevelt, the youngest President in American history. I think not, no way, but won't argue the point.gillumhouse said:In accomplishments, Ted Jr outdid his Father, but did not have the flair and publicity Sr did.
