My Thanksgiving guests told me they really appreciated me asking what "made" a holiday meal for them. When we were thanking them for requesting the butternut squash soup, they laughed and said they wondered wwhat I would have said if they had said Pavlovas. NOW I know what they were talking about. Looks yummy, but would have been a no go (I think) for Thanksgiving. Time issue.

We're neither Aussies nor Kiwis, but we do make fruit Pavlovas fairly frequently for our guests - who love them.

Aussies and Kiwis, okay...as a naturalized Australian Citizen I say TRY IT IN ROME. ie try it there, some things are better in the country of origin. :) Like Whoopie Pies in Maine.
