Gilchrist and Soames Samplers

Did anyone else get the ABOVE average sample sets from Gilchrist and Soames? I AM IMPRESSED!
A good word out for them right here right now, very very nice!

I have received samplers from them in the past. (And they were impressive!) Oddly, last time I talked with them about getting a sampler they said they no longer sent them out! I wasn't prepared to spend $85 on the scent I wanted to buy without getting to try it out first.

I haven't got any lately but I have received them in the past - the full out ones are spectacular. I just ordered their beekind line of shampoo and bath gel, in paper containers rather than plastic. I'll be switching as soon as my old ones and my thoughtfully-donated ones (also G&S) are used up.

They are wonderful about sending samples. My rep would have sent whatever I wanted.

I tried most of the samples before I ordered from them. (I was using Big Order Savings products at first because you can get smaller quantities.) I did use their spa line and really liked it and had good feedback from guests.
I do prefer tubes vs bottles though, since it's easier to get the product out imvvho.

the only thing with their Spa therapy range it is a pig to get the shampoo out of the bottle wouldn't do to have bad hands or arthritus. I like and easy pour if my hands are wet trying to get the bottle open to do my hair. otherwise an excellent range and the soaps are Lush. Moulton Brown are my top fave though but they pick the places they work with and invite you to work with them. We were turned down gutted

That's why I like the lines that have the tubes with a flip cap. The "Bee Kind" line is also really nice and I like the concept of the packaging and that they donate part of the proceeds to a good cause. I found that soaps with pleat wrap paper or boxed soaps got destroyed even if they weren't used. I liked that the Spa Therapy line soaps were plastic wrapped.
It's great that there are so many choices out there in amenity lines....for us and our guests!!!

I LOVE trying out different ones at different B&B's it is so much fun. Always have. But then I also love stationary and books. One of those little things I enjoy at a B&B. I enjoy trying different teas as well. I have tried so many, but some are regional. So for those who do regional, thanks I appreciate it!

And, I was wrong (misinformed) when I said they don't send the samplers any longer. Not sure if I just wanted a sample of something they don't have in sample size or what.

I've been using their products now for a few months because they are now selling in bulk containers. Our guests like the products, but I'm not sold on their customer service. I was billed the wrong amount on my credit card, credited the same amount, then a month or so later was sent a past due statement. I've called the number on the statement 3 times to discuss this and not once have they gotten back to me!

Don't you have a rep that you can call? Mine was fantastic.

I do have a rep who I will call next, but the statement mailed to me specifically said if I had questions regarding the bill to speak with so&so at extension xxx, so that's what I did...3 times. I'll go to the rep next, but I've got to figure out where I put that info...in the summer busy season, things get piled up

Thank you for the info. I emailed Gilchrist & Soames and they have a rep a few miles away from me. She got right back to me and said the samples and pricing were on their way.
