So, this is not a really good description of what happened. Was the door to the room open and the dog ran out? Did the person showing the rooms open the door to an occupied guest room and the dog, rightfully, defended its owner?

Yes, the poor article raises as many questions as it answers!
Just one more reason I don't allow pets at my place!

The boulevard that went to my in-laws house was to the left of that fountain. The stop sign was that stree's outbound side to downtown. All those shops on the right were antique shops or auction houses 30 years ago.
