Menopause at the Breakfast Table

wow!
a guest walked into the breakfast room and said she needed to wait 1/2 hour to eat because she had just taken boniva.
then another guest mentioned hot flashes ... her husband retorted 'you mean night sweats - she soaks the bed every night'
guest entering the room overhead and said 'have you tried depends, dear? i'm wearing some and you can't even tell!' ohmy ... not that kind of soaking.
all got into this very animated discussion about incontinence, male menopause, fact or fiction ... hormones, biofeedback, viagra ... and back to female menopause. but one that was hard of hearing kept misunderstanding what was said a little bit which sent the discussion down another road.
thank goodness no one was offended or shy ... 12 guests all gesturing and talking while i went back and forth, cooking and serving breakfast. how would i know anything about these issues?

Hopefully not for the weekend...this town is full for the weekend. Tonight, no problem. I checked around to see what the occ was like because I have a bad feeling about one guest. (Actually 2 guests) One called a few weeks ago and wants to put a 3rd person in the room. I told her no. Where? On the floor? 'Oh he won't mind, he's 16.' Right. Parents want the 16 yo sleeping on the floor at the foot of the bed. Anyway, I called around looking for other accommodations for them if they show with 3 guests in the party. Nothing avail for the whole weekend, just tonight & tomorrow at one place at $239/night.
Other party called the other day to cancel one night for this weekend. Sorry. 2 night min. I'm expecting a cancel from her at the last minute when she finds a place that will take her for 1 night.

oh dear ... it would be october 3 and you are full up. well .... they did say they like to plan so maybe they will reserve with you another time ... they are fun, a little unpredictable

Yeah me neither, I need help with the PMS in the kitchen and laundry room....preparation for menopause at the dining table....
