Not surprised. All the places used on the Internet steal whatever they want and we will never be aware of it because WE are the ones required to give them info and they are the ones who can bury trolls (coding) that we cnanot detect..
I have a feeling that Google's next version of Android is going to have to have a new privacy system installed. Skyscanner actually said that they didn't know that their system was contacting Facebook, so I bet they fix their app, but T/A has been known for leaking data. I won't even go to their website without an anonymous tab at all.
I don't think ANYTHING is as creepy as when you visit a website and it then thinks it's appropriate to email you suggestion based on what you looked it. It's the reason I no longer shop at Staples. It's SO CREEPY.

Guess I never figured I was interesting enough for folks to be interested and I'd probably share private business willingly if someone asked, but I agree that it is a pain getting email or ads following me on the net just because I looked at an item, yet I have to laugh at the money these folks must be spending trying to sell me something that I won't ever purchase.
At present I get a daily email to purchase a rebuilt truck engine, but gee I don't need one, I looked to see what they cost because my son has a need, yet my motivation in looking was to use the information to suggest the cost of an engine would make a good down payment on a better truck. If I had a need I would be a bit afraid of a company so desperate to sell that they become annoying.
