placing extra towels

i have four ladies checking in tomorrow, sharing one room
one king bed, one twin day bed and one folding cot thing - not very comfortable. i'm going to put the air mattress in the room also to see if they want to use that.
anyway, the bathroom is not very big. i usually roll up for bath towels, put them standing on end in a basket and that sits on the floor next to the tub. with four ladies, they may need eight towels (me, one towel for hair, one for body) i am trying to think of where i can put extra towels ... the towel bar has the hand towels on it with washcloths
the pegs in the bathroom are for hanging wet towels ... i could hang clean towels on those to start with if i can think of a way to hang them so they don't look like used towels hung to dry?
maybe more towels in another object (no more big baskets available)
i could just fold them and put them on a closet shelf in the room but they tell me they have lots of luggage and clothes (4 nite stay) so they will likely use all the space in the closet.
i have a big 'hat box' ... not really a hat box but in that style.
any ideas come to mind?

I have seen what GillumHouse is talking about. That can look nice & it's a great idea. They can claim their towels. haha! If your bath isn't too large, I wouldn't put another basket/container in there. 4 ladies will have plenty of stuff on their own!

No reason at all you cannot put each set on each persons bed. I have had this at plenty of places, and in fact THIS IS THE REASON I think guests check in and say "Where are the towels!?" And we always go, HUH? On the towel rack of course!
I think this looks actually kind of inviting...a little stack on each bed.

I like the package on the bed idea...Not too much work and if you don't have ribbon..don't worry about it...just stack them. Talk about trying to get the most for their $$$ 4 in one room and one bathroom????? That ought to be real fun. Do you charge extra per person??? Hope they won't take advantage of you.

Put them on each bed in a nice little stack...bath towel, hand towel, face cloth, makeup cloth, chocolate on top. Then leave the other 4 in the basket.

I get that a lot here. 4 in a room. Charge for 3rd & 4th person. Sometimes I look at it as cheap ('There are 5 of us, we'll bring a sleeping bag for the 5th so don't worry.') and other times it's the 'sleepover' aspect of it where they just pile in with all their knitting and wine and snacks and they have one room and they giggle all night. (I don't take 5 in a room, BTW. So those folks have to book 2 rooms so they take the suite.)

I'm with the others... put them on the bed. My room which can hold the fold out bed and futon (a lot like you're describing) has a double towel rack and a basket, so there's already enough for four, but if I put the fold out bed in another room then I put the towels for that person on the bed in a stack (arranged as artistically as I can, but it's still just a stack of towels...).

yes, i made little elephants from watching the youtube video of the towel animals ... and guests came and asked for other towels so they wouldn't have to take apart the elephants. not enough towels here for that! so i didn't do it this time.

No. There will be someone who will take the discomfort for the priviledge of being with her friends. I took the cot for the 3 nights in NYC so Amanda could be comfortable in the bed. She had enough problems with the cancer. MY! that was a wonderful weekend!

Maybe. Or it will be like the ones I get. 'I thought we ALL got a queen bed. I don't want a TWIN bed.' A real bed, BTW, not a cot or fold out or blow up bed, a real bed.
I get this a lot. 'Oh, there's a queen and a twin? You don't have a room with 2 beds that are the same size?' And you KNOW how that weekend will go for the one who gets the queen bed...

That is pretty. I wish I had a sense of decor and pretty. I am a lump - but I do know how to collect the best people!

Thanks for the little push. I went to youtube and just made my first elephant... I'm hooked! Not for everyday, but we often have families stay in the big room upstairs and need an extra set of towels for the kids... perfect!

you need little stick on eyes or extra sunglasses to really pull it off (especially if your towel animal doesn't quite look like what you hope it will) i have tried to do the puppy, but not so successful with that. the frog is cute and the lobster if you have stiff enough towels looks pretty good.
it's a great activity if you have to keep some children occupied. i went to a wedding recently and got pressed into babysitting duty the night before while some last minute alterations took place. i took a bunch of towels out of the cupboard and the kids and i worked on making animals.
